If anything, Hitman: Codename 47 is evidence of just how far a great gimmick can take you. IO Interactive’s Hitman: Codename 47 dropped in 2000, introducing the world to the permanently grave-faced killer who would go on to become one of the most recognizable assassins in video games (ironic considering his whole shtick is being able to blend into crowds).
